Mission and Vision
ACHIEVEMENT ZONE PURPOSEThe Achievement Zone will design, coordinate, and implement research-based strategies to close the achievement gap between the Banneker cluster of schools and the district at large. In an effort to break the cycle of generational poverty, social inequity and make social justice a reality, we will remove barriers to dramatic school improvement and provide opportunity for every family to access a high quality education. With an understanding that our students are school dependent and what we do during the course of a school day matters, together we are changing the life trajectory of students! Building Our FutureFulton County Schools Strategic Plan
This strategic plan is the roadmap for how Fulton County Schools aims to improve student achievement over the next five years. Three goals serve as the district's measure for long-term student success:
1) GRADUATION RATE 90% of Fulton students will graduate on time.
2) COLLEGE READINESS 85% of Fulton's seniors will be elgibile for admission to a University System
of Georgia college or university. 3) CAREER READINESS 100% of Fulton's graduates will be work-ready certified. This plan will only work when all parts of the community, staff, and stakeholders are aligned. Our hope from this presentation is that you will walk away understanding our key commitment to children and how we plan to get there. |
